Czechoslovakian couple, Natalie Alexa and her husband Vratislav, are all set to put down new roots in Bonnyrigg having taken the keys to a new Ashberry home.
The couple and their two children are one of the first residents to move into Ashberry’s new development, Carrington View, in the town.
Natalie and Vratislav were always keen to move to Scotland and, despite not being able to speak English, took the plunge in 2006 and moved to Edinburgh.
After fourteen years staying in the same rented flat in Leith, the couple decided it was time to buy a home of their own with a garden for their cat.
Natalie, who is now a mental health nurse, said, “We spent over seven months looking for a home but couldn’t find anything suitable. We visited Carrington View and liked the area straight away. We viewed the Moortown, a three bedroom semi-detached home and it was ideal. We were surprised at the size of the third bedroom, which is usually tiny, and how nice the kitchen was.
“We reserved the property in April and moved in July which was so quick. The sales advisor was really good at providing weekly updates on the building progress and went above and beyond to meet our needs.
“We’re delighted with our new home and it just shows you how your life can change. We are very settled in Scotland.”
